AbdurRahman Ibn Abdul Aziz as-Sudais is the imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Born in Riyadh in 1960, he is a renowned qari (reciter of the Quran) and was awarded the title of "Islamic Personality of the Year" by the Dubai International Holy Quran Award in 2005.

Hailing from the Anza clan, Sheikh Sudais memorized the Quran by age 12. He pursued his education in Riyadh, graduating with excellence from various institutions before earning a Ph.D. in Islamic Sharia from Umm al-Qura University. Taking up his imamate at just 22 years old, he has been a prominent figure at the Grand Mosque in Mecca.
